Industrial Adhesives & Thread Lockers
Every assembly shop, production line, and maintenance team goes through a lot of thread locker, retaining compound, and industrial adhesive — and most of them are paying big-brand prices for chemistry that can be sourced better. Dewald stocks a full line of industrial adhesives: thread lockers (low, medium, and high strength), retaining compounds, gasket makers, threaded pipe sealants, and structural adhesives. Our primary adhesive line delivers the same chemistry as the major industrial brands at meaningfully better pricing, and our sales team can tell you exactly which product actually fits your application. Bulk volume pricing for production shops. Call or stop by our counter.
Industrial thread lockers and retaining compounds are single-part anaerobic adhesives that cure in the absence of air (inside threaded joints or between metal parts). Thread lockers prevent fasteners from backing out under vibration; retaining compounds secure cylindrical parts like bearings, bushings, and pulleys. Gasket makers form-in-place gaskets where two parts meet.

FAQs
Does Dewald sell alternatives to the major industrial adhesive brands?
Yes. Our primary industrial adhesive line includes direct-equivalent thread lockers, retaining compounds, and gasket makers at meaningfully better pricing than the major brands. Same chemistry, different label.
What thread locker strength do I need?
It depends on the fastener and the assembly. Low-strength (typically purple) is for small fasteners that need to come apart later; medium-strength (blue) is the general-purpose shop standard; high-strength (red) is for permanent assembly. Call us with your fastener size and application and we’ll recommend the right product.
Can Dewald quote bulk pricing for production shops?
Yes. Case, drum, and pallet quantities get significantly better pricing than retail units. Call (574) 255-4776 with your volume estimate.
What's the difference between a thread locker and a retaining compound?
Thread lockers are designed for threaded fasteners and cure in the gaps between male and female threads. Retaining compounds cure in the gap between cylindrical parts like bearings, bushings, pulleys, and shafts. Using the wrong product can cause premature failure.
